A leading e-commerce platform is adding new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities based on Google Cloud technologies.
The new features are designed to enable retailers using the BigCommerce platform to improve operational efficiency, improve customer experience, enhance product discovery and drive sales. BigCommerce intends to offer its new AI-powered solutions globally by the end of 2023.

Leveraging Google Cloud Vertex AI on the backend, retailers can simplify the writing and creative process for product catalogs.
Utilizing Google Cloud Recommendations AI, retailers can seamlessly create personalized product recommendations that are tailored to each customer’s taste and preference.
Automating and streamlining workflows with AI to enhance processes such as product development, cost management and time-to-market.
Looking ahead, the BigCommerce Ecommerce Insights tool will evolve to feature new AI capabilities enabling retailer to derive deeper data insight and analytics into store performance, customer trends and respond to business changes as soon as they happen.

BigCommerce verifies customers for digital offers
BigCommerce partners with identity marketing technology provider SheerID to enable retailers using its platform to provide exclusive offers and discounts to consumer communities, such as students, military personnel, and healthcare workers.
The SheerID app combines sub-second verification performance, no-code installation, and capabilities enabling retailers on its platform to be able to verify customers through multiple steps in their shopping journey. As a result, retailers will be able to extend special, targeted offers at different times during the shopping experience through a landing page, discount during checkout, or after registering for a loyalty program.
