Report: Rent the Runway returns to normal operations

Rent the Runway is reportedly once again accepting new orders and customers.

According to Recode, the fashion rental pioneer has ended an almost one-month-long interruption in its regular business as of Tuesday, Oct. 8. This is one week ahead of a previously announced target date for resuming operations.

In late September, Rent the Runway put a temporary hold on accepting new subscribers and new event rentals after a tech system upgrade in its warehouse caused some orders to be delayed. As of Sept. 27, Rent the Runway was running a short statement at the top of its website that stated: “While we complete a system upgrade, we are not accepting new event reservations for delivery before 10/15.”

According to Recode, Rent the Runway has issued refunds and said it would also give impacted customers $200 in cash. To read the full article, click here.
