Sears Essentials Debuts in Michigan

Detroit, Aformer Kmart store in a suburb of Detroit is now Sears Essentials. The store in Rochester Hills is the first one in Michigan that has converted to the new concept that blends Sears and Kmart.

According to Sears Holding Corp., the company, created in March when Kmart and Sears, Roebuck and Co. completed their $12.3 billion merger, the new concept combines convenience items typically found at Kmart with the high-end appliances, hardware and electronics that Sears sells.
